- Corrections are no longer done on a general "Change Request" form. There are now dedicated forms for updates:
- Form PAN CR-01: For individuals (Indian or Foreign) to update name, DOB, address, etc.
- Form PAN CR-02: For non-individual entities (Companies, Firms, Trusts).
- Strict Document GuidelinesThe "Aadhaar-only" route for a new PAN has been discontinued. Aadhaar is NO LONGER proof of Date of Birth (DOB): While Aadhaar works for Identity and Address, you must now provide a separate document for DOB (e.g., Birth Certificate, Passport, Class 10 Certificate, or Driving License). Name Matching: The name on the PAN application must exactly match the Aadhaar database. Any minor spelling mismatch will result in immediate rejection. New Photo Size: The required photograph size has been updated to 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm (previously 3.5 cm x 2.5 cm) with a plain white background.
